YouTube: Personal gym class at home

Almost every day you have a reasonable amount of free time, whether that be after you have finished watching all the programmes you desperately needed to catch up on, ate your dinner and even attempted your work. No, of course attempted your work as remember you are at university first and foremost for a degree.

Anyway, why not fill that free time - that prime time for procrastination - with something productive and something that will fuel your mind, body and soul.

We are the generation of the Internet and do not get me wrong, I have been known to go on YouTube with good productive intentions and then hours have flown by and all I have achieved is watching endless movie trailers and how to apply that eye shadow kit I have always wanted.

That may sound really random, but YouTube is random, it has everything on it. It has so much to offer, even personal fitness tips and gym class videos that you would usually have to pay for.

One that I have tried and tested myself is the 30-day-shred with Jillian Michaels, which usually retails at £10-£15 on Amazon. Yes, the DVD may offer you some extras, but the amount you have available to you after a few clicks on your keyboard is so amazing and vast.

The 30-day shred is a 30 minute work out that you should complete everyday. The workout works on your core muscles, buring fat and toning. You start your journey with the level 1 video that you are expected to stay on for 10 days, depending on your level of fitness you can stay on this level for the full 30 days but you can move on to the level 2 workout, which consists of harder work outs.

Even though it is sometimes fun, do not waste what time you have spare with endless hours of procrastination, even as tempting as it may be, plus the work out is free and you cannot get any more affordable than that.
